Waiheke Island located in the Hauraki Gulf of new zealand has many beautiful beaches, unique amongst these is Enclosure Bay
Sunday, January 25, 2009
One of the most prominent features of Enclosure Bay is the Dixons Bach, situated just about as close the the water as feasibly possible. The second photo shows the Eddy's bach to the left. Solly's (Solomon) horse Brum relaxing where the bach is now. (photos supplied by the Dixon Family)
"We're going to the bach". or, "down to Waiheke"....or , "On the ferry", short phrases, simple sentences. You know it is said that a picture paints a thousand words.., these few words paint a thousand pictures for me , memories, times I had as a child.. times my children now experience , the same things that generations of children in our family have experienced ...core, basic if you like. The sea, the air, nature... the long drop. Basic, core.. but rich, intricate and beyond price.
