Why is floating so enjoyable? This is me having my first paddle in the new Kayak during labour weekend 07, despite the photos it was blowing a gale out of the bay so I did not get to go too far. This new year I will go for a more decent paddle, maybe across to the Noises or somewhere.

Heres a sight my great grandmother would not have seen back in the 1920s. Kereru or New Zealand bush pigeon are getting almost common on Waiheke Island. Having no possum to destroy the bush certainly helps. This photo was taken sitting on the deck of the bach, this bird would turn up every morning in the puriri tree.
