A closer shot of a fence line, looking towards Thompsons point with Nani Island off to the left (I'd love to know how Nani Island got its name??). I don't suppose you would find much evidence of the old sheep fencing around today.
"We're going to the bach". or, "down to Waiheke"....or , "On the ferry", short phrases, simple sentences. You know it is said that a picture paints a thousand words.., these few words paint a thousand pictures for me , memories, times I had as a child.. times my children now experience , the same things that generations of children in our family have experienced ...core, basic if you like. The sea, the air, nature... the long drop. Basic, core.. but rich, intricate and beyond price.
