Something else picked up by me snorkeling off Enclosure Bay... only found the scollop's one year, they will be back.
OK, here's something a little different. A few sinkers left behind by years of fishermen picked up by me when snorkeling one summer.
My nana, Marcelle on the right with a friend, watching children in the water.
We have plenty of outside shots, heres one of the inside of the bach, it hasn't changed since it was built in the 1960s.
This photo is almost historic now... the boat shed before being modernised, the Dixons Bach in an older livery.
A dolphin clears the surface of a mirror smooth sea, just outside the second reef , Enclosure Bay. In the background is the Island "Maria" and the David rocks.
A feathered visitor, checking out a human abode... "where do they keep the food."

The Enclosure Bay community gets together Easter 2008. A day to celebrate our bay, to share stories and to remember its history.
Children, rockpools.
The sun , retreating beyond the horizon, the result, complimentary colours.
"We're going to the bach". or, "down to Waiheke"....or , "On the ferry", short phrases, simple sentences. You know it is said that a picture paints a thousand words.., these few words paint a thousand pictures for me , memories, times I had as a child.. times my children now experience , the same things that generations of children in our family have experienced ...core, basic if you like. The sea, the air, nature... the long drop. Basic, core.. but rich, intricate and beyond price.
